Biography

Praised by Ivry Gitlis as “a young man of great talent, great violinistic facilities,” Vadim Tchijik is a prizewinner of major international competitions including the Paganini (Genoa), Tchaikovsky (Moscow), Lipizer (Gorizia), Portogruaro, and recipient of awards from the Boulanger, Cziffra, and Ritter Foundations.


He has performed with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Moscow Symphony, North Netherlands Symphony, Sanremo Symphony, Orchestre de Normandie, Kazakhstan Chamber Orchestra, and Camerata Coahuila, under conductors such as Michel Tabachnik, Enrique Batiz, and Jean-Pierre Wallez. Vadim gives recitals across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East, appearing in major halls such as Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Salle Gaveau, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Dvorak Hall Prague, Tchaikovsky Conservatory Moscow, Suntory Hall Tokyo, and the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico.

A regular participant at prestigious festivals—including Festival Radio France, Pablo Casals, Berlioz, Auvers-sur-Oise, and Ravello—Vadim is celebrated for his expressive artistry and technical mastery. His performances have been broadcast internationally on France Musique, NHK, RAI, Mezzo, and other networks. He has recorded extensively for Lyrinx, Exton, Polymnie, NovAntiqua, and IBS Classical labels, receiving critical acclaim. Vadim is also a dedicated chamber musician, collaborating with Pieter Wispelwey, Emmanuel Pahud, Jean-Claude Pennetier, Anne Queffélec, David Geringas, Marielle Nordmann, and many others. He serves as Artistic Director of several French festivals, including the International Music Festival in Hyères, “Les Musicales de Sartrouville,” and “Les Heures Musicales de Binic.”


A Professor at the École Normale de Musique in Paris, Vadim regularly gives masterclasses in Europe, South America, and Asia. He is founder and director of the ensemble “Les Virtuoses” and performs on a 1775 Ferdinando Gagliano violin.
