Biography

Conductor, choirmaster. Musical director of the Ensemble Orchestral des Hauts-de-Seine, the Vocal Ensembles Sequana Voce and Tous en Scène, artistic director and conductor of LabOpéra Hauts-de-Seine. Director of the Courbevoie Conservatory.

 

After studying piano, Laurent BRACK entered Dominique ROUITS' Orchestral Conducting class at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.

 

Laurent BRACK is regularly invited to conduct French and foreign ensembles: Orchestre Colonne, Orchestre Pasdeloup, English Baroque soloists and the Monteverdi Choir, Camerata de Bourgogne, Las Colinas Orchestra in Dallas, Serbian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir in Belgrade, Targu Mures Orchestra in Romania.

 

As part of the Auxerre Music and Cinema Festival, he worked with Maurice Jarre, Michel Legrand, John Barry, Claude Bolling, Francis Lai, Bruno Coulais, Jean-Claude Vannier.

His vocation as an educator leads him to work with amateurs, adults, and children from primary, middle, and high schools. Romain Didier and Laurent Brack have worked closely together for several years, creating several works and shows for children.

 

From 2011 to 2022 he was the first guest conductor of the Musique-Education 91 association for performances bringing together college choirs from Essonne, notably at the Massy Opera.

In 2020, he created a high school choir in Courbevoie and proposed a close partnership between the Conservatory and high schools to help young people within instrumental groups.

Laurent Brack has been the Associate Musical Director at the Paris School of Musical Comedy since 2016.

 

Laurent BRACK is artistic director and conductor of LabOpéra Hauts-de-Seine. Since 2021 he has conducted Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, Georges Bizet's Carmen, The Tales of Hoffmann, Fiddler on the Roof by Joseph Stein, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, directed by Ned Grujic - In May 2025, he will conduct Gounod's Faust at the Centre Evènementiel de Courbevoie.
