Event Overview
Frédéric Chopin embodies the Romantic composer par excellence. Through the piano, he expressed the deepest paths of his soul, while sharing with audiences everything that inspired him in Paris: George Sand, Delacroix, and Lamartine. From his native Poland, he brought melodies rooted in folk traditions and memories filled with longing, transforming them into his Mazurkas, Polonaises, and Waltzes.
With Alexandra Lescure at the piano and Etienne Kippelen as narrator, this theatrical and musical performance retraces Chopin's works, passions, loves, travels, nostalgia for Poland, and ultimately his illness. Through literary evocations of Paris in the 1830s, the audience is invited to experience Chopin's music from a fresh perspective, immersed in the emotions of the great Romantic master.
